Edna Murphy (November 17, 1899 – August 3, 1974) was an American actress of the silent era. She appeared in 80 films between 1918 and 1933. Murphy was voted "Most Photographed Movie Star of 1925" by ScreenLand Magazine. For part of her career, Murphy was the leading woman in films with Monte Blue.
She married producer/director Mervyn LeRoy in 1927, and was blacklisted in Hollywood after Mervyn LeRoy deserted and divorced her in 1932. Unable to find work, she was forced to retire from acting in 1933. She died alone in 1944, a virtual recluse, never leaving her Santa Monica home.
