She was known for her roles as Une in Three Telegrams (1950), Simone in The Night Is My Kingdom (1951) and as Annette in Rendezvous in Grenada (1951). Mercadier died on 15 September 2021 in Puteaux, France from problems caused by Alzheimer's disease at the age of 92.
