Founded in 1997 by Joung Mee, a former production manager from Dai Won, JM Animation is a Seoul based studio in South Korea, mostly known for doing most of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender (alternating episodes with DR Movie in the first two seasons and MOI Animation in the third).

It was founded by Yoo Jae Myung, former animation director of Avatar: The Last Airbender, after he stepped down as the president and a director of JM Animation, and is staffed by some of its former employees.
