It was announced that Gcoo Entertainment (a subsidiary of Huace Studio) will produce the drama. Principal photography began on February 10, 2016, at Xiangshan Movie & Television Town. The whole crew wrapped up filming on June 30, 2016. Filming also took place in Puzhehei, Yunnan.
