Alice in Chain's 1992 EP "Sap" was a very simple, mostly acoustic offering. The lyrics are depressing and mellow, and nicely written. This CD has many guest vocalists, and Chris Cornell delivers the best vocal perfomance out of any one of them. Although all songs are good, the standout track on this song is Got Me Wrong.
Unfortunately, the cameos by Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and Mudhoney's Mark Arm on "Right Turn" aren't quite as strong as one would hope. While the vocal performances are certainly strong on a technical level (Especially Cornell's), having three different singers going off at the same time does make an already lesser song seem somewhat crowded.
Feb 4, 1992 · The next song - "Right Turn" - is a grunge fan's dream with Soundgarden's Chris Cornell trading lines with Layne Stayley. It's beautiful and depressing at the same time. The disc's supposedly final track - "Am I Inside" - is an utterly depressing almost acoustic song.
