Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.

From the opening moments - which took us back to the night of Evie's big con - to John and Kevin's confrontation in the kennel to the stand-off on the bridge to Kevin's celestial karaoke number to Jarden getting infiltrated and sullied (at Sodom and Gomorrah levels), The Leftovers' Season 2 finale was amazing.

Now, finales are tricky. We all know this. And the more players you have, the more threads to snip or tie up. And - gripes out of the way first - Nora's story didn't feel full like it came circle here. Not in the way I know this show can do. Honestly, I expected a bit more from her. And from Tommy, who I wrongfully assumed would take a more proactive stance against Meg's plans. But he just seemed to go with the flow here, until he decided to help Nora and Lily during the bridge rush. I suppose him recognizing Lily was an important come-around for him, but I just felt like something extra was needed for both of them.

"I Live Here Now" many not have been able to give everyone their due, but considering how much more there was going on here, and how many more character there were to service, compared to the Season 2 finale, I think this one was still a triumph. Just a soul-squeezing journey from start to finish, filled with truly memorable and moving moments.
