  4. ABSTRACT. Arthur Piaget 1 was born on 25 November 1865 in Yverdon (Canton of Vaud). His father, Frédéric (1830–1884), remained affiliated with Neuchâtel’s Ancien Régime after the royalist counter-revolution of 1856 and, as a result, settled in Yverdon soon after that date.
