Christian Rasmus Holmes II (June 13, 1898 – February 5, 1944) was an American millionaire heir, investor and sportsman. [1] [2] He established the Feather Hill Zoo in California and owned and redeveloped Coconut Island, off the coast of Oahu in Hawaii.

Abstract Christian R. Holmes immigrated to the US from Denmark at age 15 with his parents. After spending his early career as a draughtsman for the railroad, Holmes received his MD from Miami Medical College in 1886 and quickly became an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist.
