Sol Kaplan (April 19, 1919 – November 14, 1990) was an American film and television music composer. Life and career. Kaplan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He worked as a successful concert pianist, including performing at Carnegie Hall in 1941. That same year he composed his first film score.
