Takeshi Koike (小池健, Koike Takeshi) (born January 26, 1968) is a Japanese animator, illustrator and film director. Something of a protégé of Yoshiaki Kawajiri, he was also influenced by Yoshinori Kanada, Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, and Katsuhito Ishii.
Takeshi Koike is a Japanese director, animator and character designer, known for Redline, The Animatrix and Ninja Scroll. He has directed more Lupin III theatrical movies than any other director and won two awards for his work.
