Lauri Peters (born Patricia Peterson; 1943 or 1944) is an American actress and dancer in theatre, film, and television. Early life. Lauri Peters was born Patricia Peterson to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson. [1] . She has three older brothers, Harold Jr., Victor, and Sidney. The Peterson family moved to Cleveland, Ohio when Peters was a year old. [2]

Lauri played the young, startlingly cute "Mayblossom Haggen", the sweet, down-home Texas cousin promised to marry "Festus Haggen" in the 1964 episode Mayblossom (1964). She also appeared in a second Gunsmoke (1955) episode, Take Her, She's Cheap (1964), in 1964, where she portrayed "Allie".

Lauri Peters. Once married to actor Jon Voight in the 1960s, they appeared on stage together at the Old Globe in San Diego. He played Romeo to her Juliet, and he played Thurio and she Julia in "Two Gentlemen of Verona". Was nominated for Broadway's 1960 Tony Award as Best Supporting or Featured Actress (Musical) for "The Sound of Music."
