As a nationally recognized and award-winning school, Lab educates a diverse community of 2,200+ students from Nursery through Grade 12. In addition to a rich history of innovation and excellence, Lab is part of the world-renowned University of Chicago.
As a division of the University of Chicago, our admissions process gives priority consideration to the children of the University of Chicago faculty, the children of employees of the Laboratory Schools, the siblings of current Lab students, and the children of Lab alumni.
Because the Laboratory Schools are part of the world-renowned University of Chicago, the importance of intellectual life—of thought and exploration—infuses everything we do across all aspects of our curriculum.
