梅林 茂 （うめばやし しげる、 1951年 2月19日 - ）は、 日本 の 作曲家 、 音楽プロデューサー 。 福岡県 北九州市 出身。 人物. ニュー・ウェイヴ ・ ロックバンド 「 EX （エックス）」のリーダー（ ギター と ボーカル を担当）として活動。 1980年代 初期の エリック・クラプトン の日本ツアーではバックバンドを務め、 スネークマンショー などにも参加した。 1985年 のEX解散後は、 映画音楽 の道へ進み、 日本映画 のみならず、 台湾 や 香港 など アジア 圏の映画にも音楽を提供している。 近年は、 ヨーロッパ や ハリウッド映画 にも活動の場を広げる。 現在に至るまで長年、 御茶ノ水 にある 文化学院 で講師を務めている。
