We Own This City is an American crime drama miniseries based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton. The miniseries was developed by George Pelecanos and David Simon and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green .
Based on a book by Justin Fenton, this drama series tells the story of the rise and fall of the Gun Trace Task Force, a unit that exploited the drug and gun crisis in Baltimore in 2015. Starring Jon Bernthal, Wunmi Mosaku, Jamie Hector and more, the show explores the criminal conspiracy and the impact of the Freddie Gray protests.
