    James Thomas "Jim" Dauterive is an American animation producer and writer. He was the executive producer and writer of several episodes of the animated series King of the Hill, and later developed and wrote for the Fox series Bob's Burgers.

    At the show's panel at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con International, Loren Bouchard announced that Dauterive was retiring/stepping down as showrunner and that Nora Smith's then-recently announced promotion to showrunner was to replace him. Starting with the AASA production season, Dauterive is now credited as a consultant.
