Violin, percussion, synthesizers, vocals. Years active. 1958–present. Subramaniam Lakshminarayana (born 23 July 1947) [1] is an Indian violinist, composer and conductor, trained in the classical Carnatic music tradition and Western classical music.
His foray into global fusion music started in 1976 and the first album Garland was recorded with the most famous Danish violinist Svend Asmussen in April 1978. He has established himself as a force that is strongly Indian but universal in nature and approach.
