After releasing 2005’s excellent Metropolitan Hotel on the independent Dualtone, she vanished. In 2016, Wright released I Am the Rain, an album produced by Joe Henry; the album debuted at 13 on Billboard's Country Album charts, her best showing since The Metropolitan Hotel placing at 18.
