Frederick Steiner (February 24, 1923 – June 23, 2011) was an American composer, conductor, orchestrator, film historian and arranger for television, radio and film. Steiner wrote the theme music for The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and Perry Mason.
Fred Steiner (1923-2011) was a prolific and versatile composer for film and television, known for his work on The Color Purple, Star Trek, Perry Mason and The Bullwinkle Show. He also wrote music for radio, documentaries and animation, and co-founded the Film Music Society.

One of the most prolific of television composers, he contributed to numerous episodes of popular series, ranging across diverse genres, from Gunsmoke (1955) to Hogan's Heroes (1965); from The Twilight Zone (1959) to Hawaii Five-O (1968).
