An Australian writer and producer who gained recognition for his play The One Day Of The Year in 1961, Seymour became a prolific force in British television drama. He adapted a number of his plays for television and dramatised The Chronicles of Narnia, receiving a Best Children’s Programme BAFTA nomination for The Silver Chair (1990).
