He published his first story at 17 in a Boy Scout magazine and his first novel, the bestseller Superman: Last Son of Krypton, at 27. He worked as a freelance writer for many years for such publications as the Village Voice, the Colorado Daily, the Keene Sentinel , the Los Angeles Times and others.
Elliot S. Maggin is a comic book writer. He began his career in 1971 working for DC Comics in the title Green Lantern. Later he worked on titles as Batman; Action Comics; Detective Comics and many more. In 1977 he was hired by Marvel Comics to work on the Hulk and Spider-Man titles.
