Who was Thomas Tallis? Our school is named after composer Thomas Tallis. He was a true original who made music for the kings and queens of the 16th Century, and who lived in Greenwich. Two of his most famous pieces are Spem In Allium and If Ye Love Me which are still regularly played today.

Our School Plan: Supporting education. To improve GCSE results for all our young people. To maintain ALPS 2. To improve attendance to 96% and lateness to 2.5%. To improve student behaviour further. To recruit, retain and train the best quality staff.
Tallis is a community of learners who support each other to be inquisitive, collaborative, persistent, disciplined and imaginative. We are doing this in a number of related ways: Building opportunities to explicitly develop Habits of Mind into schemes of work and lesson planning.
