I am a playwright by profession and I teach playwriting at Northwestern University. I am also a photographer. I started this project of creating small worlds in 2019, and it increased during the pandemic as it was a means of finding joy, escape, and story-telling - without language, or lockdown. The obsession continues.

May 2, 2024 · Julie Marie Myatt is The Andrew W. Mellon Playwright in Residence at South Coast Repertory. Her play The Happy Ones premiered at SCR, and won the LA Drama Critic Circle’s Ted Schmitt Award for Outstanding New Play, and her play My Wandering Boy premiered at SCR and was part of the 2007 Pacific Playwrights Festival.
