Angelo Pizzo (/ ˈ p iː t z oʊ /) is an American screenwriter and film producer, usually working on films based on a true story, and usually about athletics. He is best known for Hoosiers and Rudy .
Angelo Pizzo is best known for writing and producing Hoosiers (1986) and Rudy (1993), two inspirational sports dramas based on true stories. He also directed My All-American (2015) and The Game of Their Lives (2005), and moved back to his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana in 2004.
