On April 17, 2018, it was announced that the show had been given a 10-episode order for the first season and would be produced by Nomadic Pictures. Principal photography wrapped up in July of 2018. The show aired on March 7, 2019.
On March 28, 2019, Netflix announced that the series was renewed for a second season that would consist of 10 episodes.
The second season aired June 18, 2020.
The show is set to follow "college freshman Jack Morton, who joins a fabled secret society, The Order, where he is thrust into a world of magic, monsters, and intrigue. As Jack goes deeper, he uncovers dark family secrets and an underground battle between werewolves and the magical dark arts."
It is "a magical and terrifying journey to uncover our true selves — and the monsters that hide within."
