The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe (French: Les Aventures de Robinson Crusoë) is a French-German children's television drama series made by Franco London Films (a.k.a. FLF Television Paris) and based on Daniel Defoe's 1719 novel Robinson Crusoe.
The script went through four drafts (at one point the unknown Maurice Pialat was very nearly roped in as a screenwriter) and Truffaut finally succeeded in finding a producer, Henry Deutschmeister, to stump up two-thirds of the 3 million franc budget.
