Nigel Barrie (5 February 1889, in Calcutta, British India – 8 October 1971, in South Africa) was an Indian-born British actor. [1] Biography. Barrie's background as a dancer and actor on legitimate stages and in vaudeville in both Great Britain and the United States paved the way to early success in silent films.
Nigel Barrie was born on 5 February 1889 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He was an actor, known for Bab's Diary (1917), Der Turm des Schweigens (1925) and The Little Minister (1921). He was married to Gertrude Poklington and Helen Lee. He died on 8 October 1971 in South Africa.

Nigel Barrie was an English actor who was active in the theatre and film industry from the 1910s to the 1950s. He was born in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India, on 5 February 1889. Barrie began his career in the theatre, appearing in a number of plays in London's West End.
