Shaka kaSenzangakhona ( c. 1787 –22 September 1828), also known as Shaka Zulu ( Zulu pronunciation: [ˈʃaːɠa]) and Sigidi kaSenzangakhona, was the king of the Zulu Kingdom from 1816 to 1828.
