Gary K. Wolf (born January 24, 1941) is an American author. He is best known as the author of Who Censored Roger Rabbit? (1981), which was adapted into the hit feature-length film Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).
Gary Wolf is a contributing editor at Wired magazine, where he writes regularly about the culture of science and technology (as well as many other topics).
Wolf's ground breaking novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit? went on to become the 1988 Academy Award-winning Walt Disney/ Steven Spielberg blockbuster film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Wolf's interest in animation and writing began when he was a child growing up in the Midwest.
I wrote and published the first three ( Killerbowl, A Generation Removed, The Resurrectionist .) For the fourth, I wanted to write something completely different. Something that incorporated my boyhood loves, cartoons, comic books, and noir mysteries.
