Peter Godfrey (16 October 1899 – 4 March 1970) was an English actor and film director. Founder of the experimental Gate Theatre Salon in 1925, with his first wife Molly Veness, he staged London's first expressionistic production in the following year.
London-born Peter Godfrey was a stage actor / director / producer before coming to Hollywood as an actor in the late '30s. After appearing in several films, he turned to directing, and spent most of his career at Warner Bros., directing "B" dramas, comedies and thrillers.

Besides a project he is working on called Tell Tales From Wales, Peter has been the Executive Director of Travelers Rest Arts Mission, later to become known as Trillium, Director of Programs at HeirSpace, a community-based arts and education program in Slater - Marietta since 2011.
