George Robert Philips McFarland (October 2, 1928 – June 30, 1993) was an American actor most famous for starring as a child as Spanky in Hal Roach's Our Gang series of short-subject comedies of the 1930s and 1940s.

His memory, of course, lives on thanks to all of those filmed moments of that wiseass, but oh-so-funny, little kid who has delighted generations of fans.
