Lars Hensen (24 June 1922 – 23 December 1999; age 77) was an actor who played a Betan passerby in the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "The Return of the Archons". He filmed his scenes on Wednesday 7 December 1966 and Thursday 8 December 1966 on location at the 40 Acres backlot. He then appeared as an Elba II inmate in the third season episode "Whom Gods Destroy". As a background performer, he received no credit for his appearances.
Hensen ventured into the movie industry during World War II, and found steady employment as a background actor, playing pilots, airmen and other "faces in the crowd". From the late-1940s onwards, he also worked as a stand-in. He befriended actor Lee J. Cobb (father of Julie Cobb and grandfather of Rosemary Morgan) and served as his stand-in on the television series The Virginian between 1962 and 1966.
