Stanley Blystone (August 1, 1894 – July 16, 1956) was an American film actor who made more than 500 film appearances between 1924 and 1956. Blystone is best known for his appearance in Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times, playing Paulette Goddard's father, and several short films starring The Three Stooges.
Biography. The brother of director John G. Blystone, actor Stanley Blystone was best known for playing the villainous foil to Larry, Moe, and Curly in numerous "Three Stooges" comedies. He debuted in the silent era, and one of his earliest credits was as a gamin's unemployed father in Charlie Chaplin's classic about factory life "Modern Times."
