Richard Joseph Hill (born March 11, 1980), nicknamed " Dick Mountain ", [ 1] is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Boston Red Sox organization.
Hill learned a lot in his rookie season, going 5-7 with a 4.25 ERA in 16 starts. He finished 3-1 with a 1.93 ERA in September, and posted three double-digit strikeout games. Hill had back-to-back complete games, Sept. 16 and Sept. 22, although the second game was a rain-shortened five-inning start against Cincinnati.
