Michael Dwayne Weaver (born June 13, 1951) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1972 to 2000, and held the WBA heavyweight title from 1980 to 1982. He is widely regarded as one of the Best Heavyweight Boxers of the 1980s beating Heavyweight Champions such as Gerrie Coetzee and John Tate .
During his service, he got into an altercation with a boxer. Weaver dropped the man, who happened to be the base heavyweight. He was then encouraged to take up boxing.
Box-pro 60 bouts. Weaver was knocked down in rounds 1 and 8. Anthony ran across the ring and struck Weaver with a left hook from behind after the bell ending the first round. Anthony said that he did not hear the bell ring. Weaver was stunned and sagged to the canvas.
