Jul 26, 2021 · MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Miami Dolphins today announced that they have signed tight end Hunter Long. He was selected in the third round (81st overall) by Miami in the 2021 NFL Draft. Long was a three-year letterman (2018-20) at Boston College, where he played in 36 games with 14 starts.
He led all FBS tight ends during the 2020 season. In his sophomore season, he played in all 13 games, had 28 catches for 509 yards and two touchdowns, and was named Third-Team All-ACC. After redshirting in 2017, Long played in all 12 games during the 2018 season.
