Government House of British Columbia is the official residence of the lieutenant governor of British Columbia in Victoria and is nominally a residence of the Canadian monarch. It has casually been described as "the Ceremonial Home of all British Columbians."
The house is located on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, in the heart of the Rockland neighbourhood in Victoria, British Columbia. The Government House grounds are open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. The grounds and gardens are free to visit.

Government House. Government House is the home of B.C.'s Lieutenant Governor and is the ceremonial home of all British Columbians. Located in Victoria, B.C., the home stands on the traditional lands of the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations and overlooks both the city and the sea.
The Gardens. The Government House grounds encompass 14.6 hectares, including 8.9 hectares of rare Garry oak ecosystem and 5.7 hectares of formal gardens. The formal gardens are lovingly maintained by scores of dedicated volunteers, the Friends of Government House Gardens Society.
Government House is the official residence of the BC Lieutenant Governor. It’s a grand historic building with beautiful gardens and views of Victoria. The grounds at Government House are free to visit most days of the year and the building itself is open to the public on specific dates and for special occasions.
