Roderic Jean Brind'Amour ( / ˈbrɪndəˌmʊər /; born August 9, 1970) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the first round, ninth overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft.
