The Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. Ltd. (ニッカウヰスキー株式会社, Nikka Uwisukī Kabushiki-gaisha) is a producer of Japanese whisky and other beverages headquartered in Tokyo. It is owned by Asahi Group Holdings.
During the guided tour, our guides will provide information on the whisky production process and the history of Nikka. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a complimentary tasting. From December 23th to January 7th of the following year. Approximately 70 minutes.
This is Nikka's first distillery established by the founder Masataka Taketsuru. Blessed with a cool and humid climate and rich nature, Yoichi was the ideal place for Masataka, who had learned whisky-making in Scotland.
Yoichi Distillery started distillation. 1940. The first whisky “NIKKA WHISKY” launched. 1949. Takeshi Taketsuru, Masataka’s nephew and adopted son, entered Nikka Whisky. 1952.
