Krasner was equally at home photographing films in black-and-white and color. His first Oscar nomination was for the 1942 full color adventure film, Arabian Nights.
American cinematographer Milton Krasner first turned 'em over at Brooklyn's Vitagraph studios in 1918; he last focused his lenses on 1970's Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Starting out as a teenaged assistant, he became a lighting cameraman in 1933 and full director of photography in the '40s.
