    • Ohio Book Store. One of my personal favorites, the Ohio Bookstore is a hidden gem in Cincinnati. You’ll find aisle after aisle of books and stacks upon stacks that span five floors.
    • Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Joseph-Beth is a spacious shop with all sorts of books and magazines. Hungry? Enjoy a meal or a drink at their Bronte Bistro (yum!).
    • Roebling Books and Coffee, independent bookstore with 3 locations. Covington’s Roebling Point Books has grown into a wonderful community of bookshops, now with three northern Kentucky locations.
    • Iris Book Cafe. Another hidden bookstore gem in the Queen City, the Iris Cafe looks like a coffee shop as you enter. But if you go beyond the coffee counter, you’ll find that this local independent bookstore is made up of a maze of book stacks, complete with benches for your browsing enjoyment.

    • Smith and Hannon Bookstore. Smith and Hannon is located downtown on Vine Street and is the only black-owned bookstore in the Cincinnati region. It was opened in 2003 by retired educator, Joyce Smith.
    • The Book Rack. Do you live on the east side of Cincinnati? You’re missing out if you haven’t been to The Book Rack! They are open for browsing and curbside service.
    • Ohio Book Store. Another treasure trove located downtown, Ohio Book Store is a real treat. Not kidding- this book store has FIVE floors! There is also a Bookbinding and Repair Department that offers restoration services as well as custom bindings.
    • Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Joseph-Beth has a Barnes and Noble feel, but they’re your local independent bookstore! Located in the Rookwood Commons and Pavilion, this bookstore hosts a series of events and story-times, and even has its own restaurant, Bronte Bistro!
