A daily version of the Hartford City Times was started in 1896 with Archie Tracy as editor. Hartford City Times was purchased by Henry Geisler and Rolland B. Hubbard in 1902. Hubbard eventually sold his interest to Geisler. Merged with Blackford County Gazette to become the Times-Gazette in 1905.
