  4. The cemetery occupies 11 acres of land in the city of Monroe, Michigan. It has over 7,000 burials with hundreds of marble, limestone, bronze and granite markers. The cemetery is thought to have an early “Potter’s Field” and has the designation of being Monroes first cemetery to accept African Americans.
