    A lovely quiet, secluded, wooded island hidden away on the River Thame. There is also a network of grass and bare earth paths on the island which undulate in places, and the opportunity to fish. French Brotherscalls at Sunbury Lock with its Runnymede to Hampton Court Service during the summer months (please check availability).

    A few yards upstream is the minuscule Truss's Island, named after a former Clerk of Works with the City Commissioners of the River Thames.

Walking over a roaring weir and a 'salmon leap' take either path to explore picnic spots and small paddling beaches - a fish breeding channel runs its length and kingfishers nest in the mud banks.
