   • Unfortunately, Roger That has a few issues. Least important, and admittedly more a pet peeve of mine, is that their hours / reliability are awful. They're open noon or 4 "until sold out", which makes for an awful customer experience if you want to plan on dinner here.

   Where to eat Texas Style BBQ in Oregon?

   • Roger truly has brought Texas style BBQ to Oregon. The slow and low cooked brisket comes apart with your fork, the ribs are wonderful and the kicked up corn is just like I've had in the south. Get there early, before they run out. They only cook so much food each day. Note, this isn't a fancy pants restaurant.

   Is Rogers a good place to eat brisket?

   • Some may see this as a plus, however, as it makes dining at Roger that more of an experience. Much more problematic is the quality issues. $22 buys you 3 slices of mealy brisket with some of that signature bbq smoked flavor, but only if you're looking out for the smoke.

   • Overall, $33 for a ribs and brisket combo with a side of Mac in Salem is outrageous. The two hidden charges we only discovered on the receipt after was not acceptable. Service was average. - They have their own parking lot, some other street spots nearby if the lot is full.
