   May 2013 • Family. Blue mountain has something for everyone in the family. Good hiking and bike trails, a big playground, fishing, fields for ball games.Nice place to take a walk with your dog and family. The park is used for festivals and group picnics, too. It's a shame they closed the lake for swimming.

   Great spot close to NYC for mountain biking and hiking. Getting there is pretty easy (take metro north to Peekskill) and I have seen the town offer vans to the park during the fall. Single track is a ton of fun (trail forks has a very useful map) and the hiking is a nice change of pace from the more popular bear mountain (just across the river).
