   Belle Isle Marsh is one of the last truly wild places you can go to in Boston. It has a set of hiking trails going through the higher ground in the park and a short stretch of boardwalk that takes you into the marsh itself.    • We've been close to Belle Isle Marsh many times before, at Belle Isle restaurant, but had never stopped by for a visit. Now we have! Just past the Orient Heights T station there's a parking lot with room for 30-40 cars, and the reservation consists of about 3/4 mile of well groomed paths.

   • Belle Isle Marsh is beautiful! There are lovely wildflowers, a tower with views of the area, and a short marsh walk. We went in the morning and the mosquitoes were vicious, especially as we wandered through the marsh. However, besides the constant bites, we really enjoyed our visit.
