  4. For North Haven and Vinalhaven, the trip is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, giving you plenty of time to see the sights and take pictures. The other islands are different, so check the schedule. During the Winter months, traffic is down and traveling with a car on the ferry is much easier.
