**SPOILERS**'Tarnish' is a surprisingly racy story for 1924, although by modern standards it will seem very tame indeed. The film features an impressive cast, and a fine script by the prolific Frances Marion.
Based on the play Tarnish, a Play in 3 Acts by Gilbert Emery (New York, 1924). Synopsis Letitia Tevis has to support her parents owing to her father's profligate self-indulgence with other women, and she works with Emmet Carr, who is in love with her.
