The Love Parade (German: Loveparade) was an electronic dance music festival and technoparade that originated in 1989 in West Berlin, Germany. It was held annually in Berlin from 1989 to 2003 and in 2006, then from 2007 to 2010 in the Ruhr region.
With its naughty innuendo and satiric romance, The Love Parade opened the door for a decade of witty screen battles of the sexes. Ernst Lubitsch’s first "talking picture" was also Hollywood's first movie musical to integrate songs with narrative.
