Sep 17, 2021 · Subject: First of the Manhatten Project Documentary Films. Interesting to see the first story about the atomic bomb in the film media. Today it is probabley labelled as propaganda, but back then there were confused people who thought it was definitely the end of the world by nuclear means.
With that remark to producers at MGM, President Harry S. Truman gave his stamp of approval to and provided the title for The Beginning or the End, a 1947 docudrama about the development and world-changing use of the atomic bomb to bring about an end to World War II in 1945.
